The Training Room | Physical Therapy and Fitness

Our Physical Therapy Facility

Includes a variety of cardiovascular and resistance training equipment to return to functions and activities. We work to help restore patients mobility and flexibility while reducing pain following surgery, sport injuries, mobility related problems, and overuse syndromes.

Individualized care
We design patient-specific return-to-function and sport rehabilitation programs based on current evidence. We tailor and modify each physical therapy program, in partnership with the referring physician, based on the patients needs and goals. Every patient is evaluated and treated by a licensed physical therapist specializing in manual therapy. Patients are urged to make their personal health, body mechanics, and fitness top priority.

Our highly educated, licensed staff of physical therapists
Have specialized and advanced training in orthopedic manual therapy as well as strength and conditioning. They have a great range of experience working with patients with minor orthopedic injuries and professional athletes with sport related injuries.

After treatment
Through our Maintenance Program, we offer patients continued use of our cardiovascular and resistant training equipment and free weights to maintain their independence and high functional performance after completing their physical therapy programs.

You're in good hands with a skilled Training Room physical therapist. All of our physical therapists exceed Michigan’s stringent professional requirements. They are certified and have at least an additional 2 years of training in orthopedic manual physical therapy which emphasizes excellence in treating and diagnosing conditions of the spine, joint/ligaments, muscles and ligaments/tendons. John Czarnecki

PT, FAAOMPT

John graduated from Wake Forest University in 1987 with a degree in Exercise Science. He received his physical therapy degree in 1989 from the University of Michigan-Flint. He earned his certification in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (OMPT) in 1995 from Oakland University.

- A member of the American and Michigan Physical Therapy Association
- A fellow with the Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT).
- Co-founder of the Ted Lindsay Foundation for Autism Research in 2001.
- An associate member of the Red Wing Alumni and provides physical therapy services for the Alumni team.
- Co-owner and physical therapist at DeVinney Czarnecki Physical Therapy PC and The Training Room LLC.

Douglas Ross

PTA

Douglas (Doug) graduated from Macomb Community College, Macomb County, MI in 2019 with his Physical Therapy Assistant degree. Doug has always had a passion for sports. This passion has evolved into helping people return to function through exercise and Physical Therapy. He is eager to learn all he can in the field of Physical Therapy in order to provide the best care he possibly can to his patients.

He is currently pursuing his Bachelors Degree at Oakland University and is a member of the APTA. Doug is an avid hockey player and enjoys all outdoor activities.
